Is Melody Ranch open to the public April 24-25, 2014?
No. With the exception of the Melody Ranch Movie Night on Friday evening, April 25, those days are used to prepare the Ranch for the Festival. It is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27. Patrons attending the Festival can park at our shuttle site at 13th Street and Railroad Avenue and take the complimentary shuttle to and from Melody Ranch both days.
Are cameras allowed at the Festival?
Video cameras or camcorders are not allowed at Melody Ranch. Still photo cameras are allowed.
Can we park at Melody Ranch?
There is NO public parking at Melody Ranch. Shuttle buses from the shuttle site at 13th Street & Railroad Avenue are complimentary.
Are Pets allowed at Melody Ranch?
No Pets are allowed at Melody Ranch during the hours of the Festival with the exception of Guide Dogs or Service Dogs.
Are Shuttle buses available for events outside of Melody Ranch?
No. With the exception of the Friday night Melody Ranch movie night, all events outside of Melody Ranch require personal transportation.
Are the Main Stage shows reserved seating?
No. All the shows are included in the price of general admission on a first come, first serve basis except for persons who purchase Friends of the Festival Tickets. Friends of the Festival ticket holders receive “preferred” seating for the Melody Ranch Main Stage shows in the first 5 rows. The Melody Ranch Main Stage will be housed inside a tent with ongoing shows both Saturday and Sunday.
How can we be assured of getting seats for the main stage shows?
One way is to purchase the “Friends of the Festival” ticket package. For $150.00, a limited number of patrons are given “preferred seating” for all the shows, plus VIP shuttle service to Melody Ranch, access to the VIP Bunkhouse with catered food and beverage, and many other benefits. Also, most performers perform both days at other stages on the Festival grounds.
Do we have to purchase tickets ahead of time?
We recommend that you purchase the Friends of the Festival package early on. We’re also offering a Two – Day weekend pass ($30.00 adults, $15.00 children). The “Friends of the Festival ticket MUST be purchased by April 12, 2013 and will NOT be sold on the day of the Festival. The Two-Day pass can be purchased at our shuttle site on Saturday, April 21. One day General Admission tickets ($20.00 adults, $10.00 Children) can be purchased the days of the Festival at the shuttle site.
Are there other events outside of Melody Ranch?
Yes. We have several great attractions at various venues on Thursday-Sunday, April 18-21, like a Santa Clarita Valley Film Tour, special performances at William S. Hart Mansion and Heritage Park, and the Cowboy Couture and Cowboy Cabaret at the Repertory East Playhouse.
Does the Cowboy Festival allow for disabled or handicapped?
Yes. Our Shuttle buses are ADA equipped and can accommodate wheel chairs, mobility scooters, etc. However, it is important to note conditions at Melody Ranch. The Festival is outdoors and spread over approximately half of the 22 acres of the Ranch and is primarily dirt track. To see the Festival requires patrons to move about the Ranch. We strongly recommend appropriate footwear, shade hats and/or sun screen. There are no shuttles within the ranch.
