Cowboy Cook-off

The Santa Clarita Cowboy Cook-off will take place on Saturday, April 13, during the 26th Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival. This is a four meat series, blind judging will take place in the categories of Pork, Pork Ribs and Brisket. Chicken will be People’s Choice. Cash Prizes will be awarded from 1st through 5th places in all four meat categories. A $100 entry fee and form must be submitted by March 1, 2019.

Timeline

Friday, April 12, teams may begin loading in at 11:00 am.

  • Cooks meeting will take place at 5:00 pm.

Saturday, April 13, blind judging will take place:

  • Pork Ribs: 1:00 pm
  • Pork: 1:30 pm
  • Brisket: 2:00 pm
  • People’s Choice Chicken will be served from 11am – 2pm
    • Tasting tickets are available for purchase $10 for five 2oz tastings
  •  Awards will take place at 5:00 pm in all four categories.
