The Veluzat Motion Picture Ranch, right here in Santa Clarita, has doubled as Hazzard County, Georgia, in The Dukes of Hazzard, a lawless outpost in HBO’s Westworld, and even ancient Tokyo in The Last Samurai. It has also appeared in an impressive list of films and television shows like The Mentalist, Chaplin, Meatballs, My Name Is Earl, McGiver, The A Team, Entourage, 24, Melrose Place, Knots Landing, NCIS, JAG, Dante’s Peak, Friday the 13th Part III, and Quantum Leap. It’s also been seen in music videos for such stars as Mariah Carey, Clint Black, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Justin Timberlake, Depeche Mode, Amy Grant, Robert Plant, and Bon Jovi.
This 750-acre film lot has a complete Spanish Town with a church, hacienda, and cantina. Nearby is a diner and gas station and an assortment of ranch houses, cabins, barns, and backgrounds that range from desert to pine forest.
Come along as SCV residents and film historians E.J. and Kim Stephens guide you to this fascinating film ranch that is rarely open to the public!
