Dave Stamey , award winning Cowboy balladeer, “ the Charlie Russell of Western Music”, will host your afternoon Vaquero experience at Don Ygnacio del Valle’s estancia, at Rancho Camulos Museum and National Historic Landmark. One of the best surviving examples of an early Californio Rancho in its original setting, it is the site that inspired the 1884 novel “Ramona” and the filming location for DW Griffith’s 1910 Ramona starring Mary Pickford. Enjoy an authentic Vaquero buffet from local favorite , La Cocina Restaurant , an intimate Cowboy music performance , and costumed docent-led tours as you step back in time in Heritage Valley, where the history, myth, and Romance of old California still linger. All proceeds benefit the non-profit museum’s historical preservation.
