Scott McLaughlin grew up in a small Southern California town surrounded by dairy farms, ranches and horse shows. Scott’s love for music began with listening to the classic rock stylings of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band on the radio. His passion for country music took off like a rocket after receiving his first guitar from his father at age 13. With a range of influences fromGarth Brooks to Fleetwood Mac Scott began writing and performing his own music in high school. While attending college, Scott continued to hone his music and vocal talent forming several bands and actively performing throughout Southern California.
After forming The Scotty Mac Band, Scott went to Nashville and recorded his debut EP, Messin Around, stylistically blending the contemporary sounds of modern country with the traditional instrumentation and story telling lyrics of the genre’s roots. Since then he has shared the stage with many of country music’s top acts at major festivals and on tours including Brett Young, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, Chris Young, Chase Rice, Raelynn, Jake Owen, The Band Perry, Parmalee, Colt Ford, Tyler Farr, Justin Moore, Cam, Chase Bryant, Easton Corbin and Joe Nichols.
With his sophomore EP “Starts with a Girl”, Scott and the band are ready to take the Summer of 2018 by storm.
